PROFILE
SCA-Larc is a landscape design studio based in Los Angeles.
Founded by University of Washington graduate Steven Chavez, SCA-Larc is an emerging office committed to working closely with clients and allied professionals to create site-specific landscapes that are efficient and culturally distinct.
SCA-Larc's creator has a diverse background in art, architecture and design. Chavez, who holds a professional Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from UW, worked with artist Betsy Eby and automotive customizer Gene Winfield, giving him art and fabrication experience. Landscape architectural practice was gained under the tutelage of landscape architects Gustafson Guthrie Nichol of Seattle.
Current projects include designing a series of sensory gardens for the visually impaired at the Blend School in Los Angeles. In addition, SCA-Larc is working with Tag Front Architecture on a contemporary residential landscape design in Beverly Hills. Lastly, the studio is working on several design projects in Los Angeles that incorporate native revegetation planting and water conservation strategies.
SCA-Larc welcomes an opportunity to work with you on meeting your landscape goals with consummate design solutions.
